Yawei Li
PhD candidate Chemical Engineering
Drexel faculty mentor: Joshua Snyder
Yawei Li received his bachelor’s in Materials Science & Engineering in 2009, his master’s in Chemistry and master’s in Business Administration in 2012. He is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. Yawei joined Prof. Joshua Snyder’s Electrochemical Interfaces and Catalysis group in 2014 with a focus on electrochemical energy conversion technologies. Yawei ‘s research is to develop guiding principles and strategies for the design of state-of-the-art electrocatalysts for renewable energy conversion and storage. He was accepted into the 2018 DAAD RISE Pro internship under advice from Prof. Marcus Bär in studying spectroscopic analysis of the kinetics of multi-step electrochemical reactions.
